Sovereign Protector
This year we lost our beloved Sovereign Protector, Larry Loomis. Larry was a Long Beach native, Vietnam vet, and retired concrete finisher. During his nearly two decades on the throne, he exemplified the virtues of the Order and dedicated himself to maintaining the highest standards of wisdom and leadership. As captain of the softball team, he lead the Long Beach Lynx to muni league titles in 2002 and 2011. He is dearly missed by everyone here at Lodge 49. Scott Miller, currently our Solemn Knight, has been approved to take over as Sovereign Protector, pending final approval from Lodge 1 in London.
The burdens of leadership are heavy, and the Sovereign Protector is assisted by the Luminous Knight, Solemn Knight, and Majestic Knight.
Royal Council
Those Lynx called to service and leadership can start their journeys on the Royal Council as the Lord Chamberlain, Astronomer, Constable, and Scribe.
